"Directus - To lead or guide"

  • Specialists in business training, mentoring & enterprise skills development for start-up and growth businesses
  • Providers of career development workshops
  • Executive coaching

The Latin Word Directus was chosen as its many meanings sum up Rosemary Morrison's vision:

plain, simple, direct, open, straightforward

Throughout the last eleven years, Directus Training & Consultancy has provided straight-forward, clear, business support to literally hundreds of SMEs in Northern Ireland (Small & Medium Enterprises), and Rosemary is passionate about enterprise development in Northern Ireland and the role that SMEs play in the Northern Ireland economy.

"SMEs make up 98% of the private sector and account for over 65% of employment in Northern Ireland. They are the backbone of the economy, and it is essential that their contribution is not overlooked".

Having met Rosemary as a mentor through Women Into Business, her friendly, confident and honest approach is just great! If her attitude to her business clients is as good to those within the Women's programme, they can be assured they are getting good, steadfast advice.

I was lucky enough to attend Rosemary Morrison's Exploring Enterprise course in the Ormeau Business center in February of 2013 at a time I was starting up my own media company. The course was very practical and full of useful easy to understand key information which resolved many of my concerns and made the entire start up process much less daunting.

Rosemary was extremely approachable with great people skills and streets ahead of other business and career trainers I have gone to in the past. You simply cant beat someone who has run their own business, her real life experience shone through and she is certainly someone I will be booking again in the future.

I cannot recommend Rosemary enough! Rosemary was my business trainer and mentor on the Advantage NI Young Entrepreneurs programme and later, my trainer on the Invest NI Go For It programme. Her job was to train me with the basic skills needed to survive in the business world.

2 years later, I'm still here. I think that says all that needs to be said about Rosemary's gift for teaching others and making difficult concepts simple. I wouldn't have survived as an entrepreneur if it wasn't for her guiding hands in the early days.

Always a pleasure to work with Rosemary - her professional attitude, efficient delivery, frequent communication during development and delivery, together with working off own initiative, is very reassuring. Reading feedback from end users is always a pleasure. Looking forward to working with Rosemary in the future.

I worked with Rosemary from the inception of the Women into Business website, where we collaborated within a small team to launch the website and programme. Rosemary ensured that every ‘i was dotted and every t crossed’, which is a testimony to her excellent attention to detail. Personable and professional, Rosemary has a natural gift of wanting to help others

Rosemary has been an invaluable resource to my business both in terms of personal support and her general awareness of business operations and in particular marketing and market research.

The sometimes obvious questions often escape us business owners such as:
Have you researched your business and is there a demand for what you are offering?
What elements of your marketing are working and why don't you focus on those for now?

Rosemary didn’t just ask these questions and leave me to find the answers. She facilitated our business to identify the answers and to recognise other opportunities for going forward. Thankfully Rosemary’s focus was on practical solutions and not simply business theory! I hope to work with Rosemary again in the future and would definitely recommend her service to any other business

Rosemary is a great advocate for the work of Young Enterprise NI. She has delivered a wide range of our programmes in schools over the years, and ensures that students are engaged and involved in the process. In addition, she is a true supporter of the organisation, making use of opportunities to promote the work of the organisation. I have no hesitation in recommending Rosemary.
